EMC Entrepreneur Internship/Consulting/Fellowship Programs (PAID VIA SDSU FOUNDATION)

  1. Qualcomm Ventures has an internship opening within its Market Research group. The Ventures Group at Qualcomm makes strategic investments in private companies that have technologies, applications or services that can positively impact the wireless marketplace. The job responsibilities for this position are to help analyze the existing data & informational structure of the group and assist the Sr Manager of Marketing in a project to improve the organization and access to this information. Skills/Experience: Broad understanding of technology and business. Must have a clear understanding of Qualcomm's business and competitive landscape. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) and have some knowledge/background of how to organize and operate a database.   2. The QUALCOMM EMC Social Entrepreneur Internship Program places second-year MS/MBA students (must have completed the core courses or equivalent) with non-profit organizations as intern-consultants each semester and summer to perform strategic analysis or project management. This unique opportunity teams interns up with faculty advisors, a mentor from QUALCOMM and the non-profit agency. PLEASE NOTE: You must also complete the application located at (Application) and send it to EMC Internship Program Director at bschroeder@projects.sdsu.edu in addition to your resume. Applications for the Summer 2008 program are due Friday, May 11th. Interviews are coordinated through the EMC and are scheduled for Friday, May 30th at SDSU Career Services. An on-campus kick off breakfast meeting will be held on Friday, June 6th for interns and organizations. If a match is made, paperwork is coordinated by the EMC and the student is hired through SDSU Foundation.

     

     

  3. InsideUp is building a comprehensive web based platform to help business services firms (e.g. technology, marketing, recruiting, etc) to effectively generate targeted small business leads. It will also provide a complementary platform to assist small businesses to source business services. This marketing oriented internship  would involve the set up and management of online marketing/ search marketing campaigns; do online market research; competitive marketplace research;  conduct capital raising/investor/venture capital research; Web 2.0 best practices research; partner or distribution research; help with social media & viral marketing campaign/research; blogs; social networking; viral marketing; online video; editing/writing of marketing content. Preferred intern qualifications: Passion for online/marketing; experience using social media; web savvy; online research; strategic thinker; strong research skills; high energy; B2B experience.
