EMC Programs
Programs run by the EMC are designed to meets the needs of all levels of the entrepreneurial business community. Though their focus may be different, every EMC program shares the same goals:
Venture Challenge
- Companies can get involved with Venture Challenge, the EMC’s annual international business plan competition, by attending events and presentations, serving as judges or moderators, or sponsoring this signature EMC event.
EMC Business Forum
- The EMC Business Forum drives growth & development of members' businesses by providing entrepreneurial education, training programs, resources, and peer support to closely held family businesses in the San Diego region.
Internships
- The internship program places talented and motivated MBA students with entrepreneurial companies to work on strategic projects.
Entrepreneur Society
- The Entrepreneur Society at SDSU fosters entrepreneurial learning through the exchange of ideas and the formation of relationships between and among students, alumni, faculty, industry & government.
Business Plan Competitons
- Every year, the EMC recruits talented entrepreneurial teams to present their new venture ideas at competitions around the country.
CCAT
- The Center for the Commercialization of Advanced Technology (CCAT) awards grants to assist companies in commercializing technologies with homeland security and defense applications.
EMC Emerging Growth Workshop
- The EMC Emerging Growth Workshop ensures optimal entrepreneurial development for member companies by providing educational tools and professional coaching to early stage, emerging growth and start-up businesses in the San Diego region.
Social Enterprise Development
- Our innovative Social Enterprise Forum places interns at non profit organizations, and provides entrepreneurial resources to regional organizations with the social business fundamentals necessary for success.
