Garry Ridge, CEO and President of WD-40 prefers to say that "we are a global company headquartered in San Diego, California." He only sees one market, and it's global.

A native of Australia, he will be presenting to us his business philosophy on "Helping People Win at Work". The first 20 people to sign - up will get a FREE copy of his book. He will be selling it at the event after the keynote presentation.

He will be our keynote speaker at the EMC Business Forum at the Marriott Mission Valley on May 12, 2010 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. Arrive early, network with fellow San Diego executives, then listen to Garry tell us about his winning philosophy, then enjoy more networking with great hors d'oeuvres. Garry was recently named Director of the Year for Enhancement of Economic Value by the Corporate Directors Forum as well as being the recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Garry Ridge had been with the WD-40 for nearly 10 years when he was named Chief Executive Officer. His success was in teaching people not to be afraid to fail, he earned their trust by showing his employees that if something new was tried and was unsuccessful, there would be no adverse action taken. He initiated a reward contest for providing the best new idea or tip. At first employees were hesitant but as he earned their trust more and more ideas began to spring forward. Garry Ridge believes in incentives, the employee who came up with the best new idea won a trip to visit all of the company's locations and operations around the world. People saw that Ridge was to be trusted and that he was a man of his word and that it was safe to be creative.

EMC Business Forum Members no charge - Non Members $55 seats are limited and remember, the first 20 people who register will get a FREE copy of Garry Ridges new book.

Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served at the event as well as a no host bar.
