Helping Organizations Succeed

SDSU Students Re-design Websites

The goal of the WebCompass™ program is to make a difference in the community. One that can be seen and felt. And that's what these teams of SDSU students accomplish in just 8—10 weeks. They review the current website, look at the competition in the marketplace, understand the non—profit organizations mission and strategy and then focus on the people that will benefit from the non—profit experience. And that includes the recipients of services, volunteers and partners who all work together to make a difference in the lives of others.

The student teams, comprised of students from three colleges, then prepare a project plan, creative brief, keyword search terms and move toward creative concepts and ultimately a chosen design which includes navigation and usability elements. The final design is them implemented and optimized for keyword search through Search Engine Optimization principles. The final website is then uploaded to the host server and is brought "live." Please take the time to review the following recent websites that WebCompass™ students teams have completed.
