Strategic Growth Planning for Entrepreneurs

The EMC is proud to partner with San Diego Gas & Electric to deliver the Strategic Growth Planning for Entrepreneurs Program at San Diego State University. The program is designed to assist owners and senior managers in growing their businesses through strategic growth planning sessions and a hands-on business improvement project.

This 40 hour course is invitation only to Diverse Business Enterprises (DBEs) which includes owners and senior managers of women-, minority-, and service disabled veteran-owned businesses in Southern California who wish to develop strategic objectives to improve and grow their businesses.

Program Objectives and Benefits

  • Create financial requirements and mitigate risks
  • Develop a Business Improvement Project with the
  • assistance of an MBA consultant and program staff

The course will take place over three 1 ½ day sessions. Each session will be led by a professor or lecturer who is a recognized expert in the session topic. The instructors consist of professors, lecturers and professionals affiliated with the College of Business Administration and the Entrepreneurial Management Center at San Diego State University. The training sessions include lectures/presentations, case discussions and breakout sessions. Throughout the program, each participant will receive guidance and obtain consultation from program faculty, staff and a team of MBA consultants on the company’s business improvement program.
